Rec.net - Creator Tools & UX
Rec Room
Designed and shipped new creator-facing tools on Rec.net, including the Thumbnail Uploader, Room Rewards program pages, and a rewards calculator that went live within two hours of handoff. I worked closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to give UX feedback, create mockups, translate creator pain points into clear requirements, and help shape feature priorities. These tools reduced friction, increased adoption, and supported thousands of creators each month.
Room Rewards - Design & UX Improvements
Rec Room
Redesigned the Room Rewards system from the ground up, moving from a flat model to a structured tier-based rewards framework. Created requirements, flows, and mockups alongside Design, defined participation rules, shaped token distribution mechanics, and advocated for the addition of the “My Rooms” dashboard based on creator and Trust & Safety team feedback. Partnered with Engineers to ship Rec.net updates that increased clarity, transparency, and program adoption while reducing support tickets by 94%.
UGC Algorithmic Curation
Rec Room
Contributed to the design and operation of Rec Room’s UGC discovery systems by reviewing data, identifying quality signals, and informing changes to algorithmic curation. Collaborated with Product and Data teams to refine criteria, improve content surfacing, and enhance the player experience through more relevant, high-quality recommendations.
Ink Inc - UGC Economy Brand
Rec Room
Co-founded and developed the Ink Inc brand—later adopted by Rec Room—to support the UGC economy through curation systems, incentive programs, pricing guidance, creator education, and tool adoption. Managed weekly content pipelines, Discord operations (10k+ members), dashboards, and cross-team workflows under the Ink Inc umbrella and within the economy team.
